Le 10 avril 2000, Eric Bischoff revient à la WCW avec Vince Russo. Les 2 hommes ont pour mission de sauver la WCW qui est au bord de la faillite. Ils décident donc la fin de la nWo, et surtout de rendre tous les titres WCW vacants. Lors de ce PPV, des tournois sont donc organisés pour couronner des nouveaux champions.
