Ce PPV est le 1er après la rupture entre la NWA et la WCW. Seuls les titres WCW sont maintenant défendus dans le PPV WCW, et seuls les lutteurs WCW apparaissent dans les PPV WCW. La NWA y est définitivement exclue. Le titre Tag Team s'appelle à nouveau WCW Tag Team Championship, et il y a maintenant 2 titres World : le WCW Championship détenu par Big Van Vader, et l'ancien titre NWA retiré à Flair mais rebaptisé (nouvellement créé en vérité) WCW International World Heavyweight Championship par la WCW.
